Santa Cruz born. Genre-defying by nature.
Max Scott is a Santa Cruz-born multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and live-looping performer. Raised on punk rock, hip-hop and reggae, he began with guitar and drums before expanding into keys, synthesizers, bass and rap.
His solo sets turn that wide palette into a one-person band: riffs, beats, vocals and textures built in real time. He also performs with the Max Scott Band, blending rock, reggae and hip-hop into an evolving California sound.
